When the 2011 lacrosse season started, many expected the Liberty District to be a back-and-forth competition between powerhouse squads from Madison and Langley high schools.
Since the Warhawks' 13-11, early-season win over their Liberty District rival, it's been all Madison, despite some early jitters.
"It was a tough beginning to the season because our first game was really late," said Madison head coach Amanda Counts. "We had close to 25 practices before we had a game, so we really didn't have a good measuring stick for what we would be seeing from other teams."
