The History Project
We are collecting stories and information from the Northern Virginia Lacrosse community, building what will be the most comprehensive chronological history of lacrosse in this area. Here, you can read all these great postings and add your own to the library.
When you first come into the History Project screen, the filter will default to all the articles for the current section. Articles are sorted in chronological order with break titles indicating year and month.
Each of these history articles are accessed like any other article in the system....you click the title and the article is displayed to be read and commented on.
Each of the section history page has the same 9 features:
- Submital Link If you have a story you want to share about an event relevant to the history of our sport in Northern Virginia whether a game recap or an award or a story about the first game played of one type or another, click here.

- Hide History Filter / Show History Filter Toggles the history filter on and off. The history filter is used to fileter down your selection of articles.
- Between Dates Enter the starting and ending date you wish to use when searching for history articles.
- Gender Select Boys and/or Girls to filter your articles based on gender.
- Sections Check the sections you wish to include in your article list. Articles are flagged to one or more sections depending on the content and context of the article.
- First Only An article can be tagged as a First of its kind, like first game played between two high schools or first youth lacrosse club, etc. Checking this box will filter out all non "firsts".
- Category Selection All articles are tagged to one or more categories. You can either select all categories or narrow your search filter down to a selected set of categories by checking the box next to them.
- Date/Month Titles When articles are displayed they will be segregated by year and month with these titles to help you visually group the articles.
- Aritcle List Each article will be displayed with its title and header information. Like all articles in the system, click the title to read the full article and comment on it.
